International Turkish Airlines Lounge is not available yet
The first to be on service abroad special passenger lounge, “Lounge Istanbul-Moscow” run by DO&CO, which is a successful affiliation of Turkish Airlines has a distinct importance with this speciality. This project realised with great care on every detail like architecture and menu to offer, although it is a first, prognosticates similar ones to come in near future. With the “Lounge Istanbul-Moscow”, opening new lounges on the destinations within the wide flight network of Turkish Airlines taking its place near the top of the near future agenda of the leading airline company.
“Lounge Istanbul-Moscow” opening ceremony took place at Moscow Vnukovo Airport terminal A today. Turkish Airlines chairman of the executive board Hamdi Topçu, Turkish Airlines Moscow manager Mefail Deribaş, Vnukovo Airport chairman of executive council Vitaly Vantsev and Vnukovo Airport General Manager Vasily Alexandrov joined the opening ceremony. In his opening speech, Turkish Airlines chairman of the executive board Hamdi Topçu quoted; “We are leading the way again with our international passenger lounge first time put in the service of our passengers outside of our transfer centre İstanbul. We are proud of giving service scale like this besides the work to enlarge our flight network to Russia which already consists of ten points.
We do believe that Lounge Istanbul-Moscow will give our guests the same comfort at our planes. The special lounge of Star Alliance member Turkish Airlines will give service as star branded and will be open to the passengers of other Star Alliance member airlines. The lounges build on 635 m² area and have a capacity of serving 150 guests at the same time. Turkish Airlines partner DO&CO offering Turkish hospitality elements at Lounge Istanbul-Moscow and besides various flavours of world kitchen passengers also meets with the delicacies indigenous to Turkey.
The lounge has kitchen and serving units, pide (Turkish pizza) and grill units, salad bars, sweet counters containing traditional sweets like baklava, hot and cold drink counters, library, media screen, bar console, teleconference hall, work area with computers, charging units, luggage counters, and praying rooms. There is wireless internet service as well. With its design dominated by the porches which is a must of the vernacular Turkish architecture the lounge shows similarity with “Turkish Airlines Lounge Istanbul” also contains adaptations of local architecture. Turkish Airlines already giving service with 15 special lounges, adding new ones to its different projects to offer comfort to the passengers taking firm steps to become the world’s best airlines.
